Houndstooth and a Hat Problem

My friend Jackie started a crocheting business.*  (More precisely, she restructured her business from focusing on bows to focusing on crocheting.  If you've been to her page but not recently, you should go check it out... she's got gazillions of awesome hats, and new ones all the time.)

This is a problem for me because I want one of each for me, for CAM, or for both of us.

Today one of our orders arrived.

I'm in love -- and not just with CAM.

All the poses are so she can look like a superstar movie star.  Her words, not mine.

*She's been going gangbusters lately, and I am so happy for her.  I am also ferociously envious that she can whip out these gorgeous hats and so forth.  My mom is a master crocheter, and I never learned, and that's one of my biggest regrets.  I can ask my mom to crochet me a car, and she can do it -- and I'll have it in a week.  Love you, Mom, and you need to teach me how to crochet.  You also need to teach CAM, because she'll be forever able to say she learned from her grandma.

    Very cute stuff & if Disney wouldn't ruin her life, I'd say that child needs to model!

      Well, she can sing, and the Lohan Family we are not... so she'd have that going for her! Thanks for the compliments. She spends a lot of time being silly (and patient) with me while I practice with my fancypants camera, and there are often great shots I miss... and silly faces I end up with!

    Thanks for sharing this. I've been wondering lately if anyone ever crocheted a houndstooth pattern and lo and behold here it is! Congratulations to your friend on her wonderful adventure.

    I just saw this!! Thank you so much! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the pictures of CAM (I also noticed your ivory/ivory in the snowstorm pics!). I have been away from the blogging world lately, which I am sure you noticed if you ever stop by my blog... yikes. Thanks again! I love it!

      I have been meaning to email you a few of these ... but I have this thing called LAZINESS and it's killin' me! (And I *do* read your blog, and have noticed a flurry of posts in the past few days ... I am the LAST person to fault anyone for falling off for a while!)
